A New firmware has been released by Rebel today, this firmware allows full 3g voice and data on the iPhone 3G 2.2 & 2.2.1 firmware
The Video shows 2.2 unlock , but the 54i firmware also works on 2.2.1 with the new baseband, if you look at the 1st video response there is a video showing the unlock of 2.2.1

yes it works as seen from the video, i have shown the 2.28 baseband screen shot aswell, there are other videos not showing the 2.28 baseband only showing 2.2 firmware shot.
